Apple TV long time to buffer on 4S videos

I have a 4s with the apple tv 4.4 software and when I play camera roll videos it takes half way through the buffering process for it to play.. Is that normal?

You're streaming a 1080p video from your phone to the appletv over WIFI.

Depending on how good your WIFI signal is (interference, quality etc), the time it takes to buffer enough to start playback will vary.
