Okay, I jailbroke my AppleTV and using XBMC the picture looks great. I jailbroke my friends and the picture looks lousy and it's always buffering. He does not have that problem with Netflix and Apple iTunes Store stuff.

Is the reason for this because Apple has more bandwith and faster servers?

Also in my setup I've got a dual band router and I use a wired connection through a Wireless entertainment bridge

My friend has an older router and uses wifi to connect to his AppleTV

My question is which do you think would go farther in improving his picture and reducing buffering time. A dual band router or a wired connection through a wireless bridge

I'm assuming that AppleTV will drop the quality if the connection isn't as fast?
