Apple TV or AirPort Express for airplay?

I'd like to do airplay from my iPhone. usual AV equip at home. rcvr, tv, etc. We do NetFlix from a PS3, and dont rent many movies outside of Netflix.

I also travel, and the Airport Express intrests me for those reasons as well.

Can I:
Airplay to the airport?
Airplay to the Apple TV?

Other pros/cons?

You can airplay to both appleTv as well as airport express, however, the airport express will only output audio.

The appleTV will output both audio and video, but can only do so using the HDMI cable, so I depends on what you are hooking them up to for output.

TV? AppleTV would be best.
Stereo? Airport Express would be better.
They're both the same price, so it's more a matter of what you're using it for. I'd say the apple TV can do more on the multimedia side,whereas the airport can also function as a network range expander.

currently there is a bug with Airplay from iPhone to Apple TV that requires reboot to show the Airplay button. Very annoying....
