In a bizarre situation yesterday, a Instagram tech influencer who recently purchased an Apple TV during the setup process was prompted to accept iCloud's new terms of service...from an iOS/iPadOS device.

Here's the thing: The guy does not have an iPhone or iPad. The Apple TV 4K is literally his first Apple device ever after switching from a Google TV. Nowhere in Apple's support page does it say you need an iOS device to complete the setup process since the Apple TV is supposed to be it's own thing, not an iPhone accessory. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205358
Surely this has to be a mistake, because this is incredibly stupid. No streaming box should EVER require a phone or tablet to use. I didn't have to do this when I got my Apple TV a month ago, so what the hell?
