For several years, I had a 1st Gen Siri remote controlling my Vizio soundbar. The remote would control the volume without any issues. I could point it pretty much anywhere into the room (except straight down into the couch cusion) and it would adjust the volume no problem.
I bought the new Apple TV with the 2nd gen remote. The volume controls work, but only at very specific angles. It's really finicky. I have to be straight-on and standing up so that it's on the same plane as the soundbar. I thought that it might be a problem with the remote. So, I bought a new 2nd gen remote. Same problem. With my camera, I can see all of the remotes sending out the IR signal. So, why are the 2nd gen remotes so bad? What's going on?
