Apple TV update from March 9 2011 - very unresponsive, high lag times

I just updated my apple tv. I use my iPhone as Apple Remote and it's soooo laggy now. I tried to unplug it and plug back in, and restarted iPhone app, still... it used to be so responsive. Now it just lags for a few seconds between swipes on the Remote App.

Anyone else with similar issues?
