Apple TV updated older boxes

My latest 4k has the Liquid Glass but my older Apple TV 4K never got the new icons or Liquid Glass. Checked today and it now has the new film icons and looks more Liquid Glass. Not sure how many features made it over to the older model but I preferred the old icons for the films so I was a bit annoyed it was updated. Did they update all models?

Apple supports Liquid Glass on the ATV4K (2nd gen) and later models.

1st gen definitely did not get liquid glass. If you have a 1st gen, you are likely just seeing updated icons not liquid glass.
