Apple has updated its dedicated Apple TV+ website with an Up Next queue for shows, making it easier to keep track of and watch Apple TV+ content on the web.

The Up Next queue is a new addition to the Apple TV+ website, introduced earlier this week, according to 9to5Mac. Prior to now, the Apple TV+ website had an option for adding a show to the Up Next queue, but the Up Next queue did not actually display on the website.

Viewing the Up Next queue on the Apple TV+ website requires logging in to an Apple ID with an Apple TV+ subscription on a web browser like Chrome or Safari. Mac, iPhone, and iPad users can instead use the dedicated Apple TV app, as can those who have compatible consoles, smart TVs, and set-top boxes with the TV app, but the website's Up Next queue is handy for tracking viewing on platforms without the TV app.

Windows users and Android users who are also Apple TV+ subscribers will now be able to manage the shows that they watch right through the web browser.

^ Scrolled too fast and saw "wecrashed" before anything else.

Thought Apple Services were down again. ?

I'm not nearly as critical as Apple TV+ as a lot of folks are, but the website version has been pretty bare bones compared to the Netflix's and Prime's of the world. So even adding this is a huge step forward.
Oh yeah, I love the service, I just genuinely had no idea that a browser portal existed for it and I’m surprised that slipped by me. I wonder when they added it.

I didn’t even know you could watch Apple TV+ shows through a web portal.
It's convenient if you have Apple TV+ under one Apple ID account, and Apple Music under another, and want to use both services on the same computer without having to log in and out of the dedicated apps all the time.

When will they release their shows on iTunes? That would seem to make sense, given that the shows are made by Apple and iTunes is made by Apple...

I'm still amazed that tv.apple.com doesn't have a search function. If the show you want to watch isn't featured on the home page, you have to use Google to get to it. Shows that I'm currently watching don't automatically appear on the home page, but I can get to them from the browser history. It seems like another example of Apple going too far with a streamlined design -- like a computer with no ports.

Up Next is the solution to multiple streaming services. It’s so important to how we consume movies and shows that services that don’t support it are quickly forgotten and canceled.
I agree with this. The up next queue is great. I actually stopped looking on Netflix for stuff to watch because I have Disney+, Apple TV+, BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, etc etc linked to the up next queue in the Apple TV app.

I am waiting for stuff on Netflix to come out (only Stranger Things, really), but I just can’t be bothered opening the app to look for the sake of it. I ended up cancelling it a few months ago, after checking if my sister & her boyfriend were watching anything (I asked every time they came over). The day after I cancelled it, my sister messaged me asking if I cancelled it & she’s now paying for it on my account.

I think Apple TV+ is better than Netflix at the moment, anyway. I’ve found that I’m consistently watching multiple shows every weekend, with their weekly release schedule. I’m waiting for the next season of quite a few series, that it’s worth paying the £50 for the year to make it less than £4.20 a month.

I do wish the up next queue would work with other services on non-Apple hardware, though. Is this intentional by Apple or is it not possible to do it on other platforms?

Apple TV+ is by far the least intuitive of the bunch.

Also why do they recommend series to me which I have already watched? Netflix does the same. But do we live in 2022 or 1995? Even the video store knew what I had rented.

wecrashed is so boring, watched 2 episode, meh... compare to Inventing Anna... And preferred the documentary.

I watched the first episode and thought the acting was solid, but I don't know how they are going to stretch it out for an entire mini series. Would have been better as a movie.

On Windows, there's the web interface.

On macOS, iTunes no longer exists. The TV app is what used to be a big portion of iTunes.

My "favourite" current Netflix gimmick is that they now present me with a row of shows/movies I've watched headlined "WATCH AGAIN"

FYI, the Apple TV+ videos are not playable on my Quest 2 using 3 different browsers. Since there is no dedicated Apple TV+ app on VR platforms, the Apple TV+ contents are not available on Quest 2.
