Apple TV will not power up! Help!

My Apple TV will not turn on! It is plugged into the wall and there is no light illuminating and nothing is showing up on my TV. However, when I plug my Apple TV into a usb and into my computer the white light flashes. I was able to restore my device to see if that would help but it didn't do anything.

Any advice! Thanks!

Have you tried any of the following?

• Swap HDMI cables
• Swap HDMI ports
• Connect it to a different TV
• Connect it to a different power outlet or circuit

Assuming you've checked the power cord & circuit, the power supply in the Apple TV is apparently dead. That's bypassed when doing a USB update.

Apple will do a flat-rate repair on an ATV for US$59

Are you doing a factory update the the latest iOS or trying to keep your jailbreak?

I did a factory reset so I am assuming I lost jailbreak capabilities?


Doesn't matter if the Apple TV is dead though...
