Apple TV+ shows "Ghostwriter" and "Peanuts in Space: Secrets of Apollo 10" have won Daytime Emmy awards, reports Deadline.

The 47th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were unveiled on Sunday night at a virtual ceremony, honoring Children's, Lifestyle, and Animation programming. Winning shows accepted their awards remotely.

"Ghostwriter" and "Peanuts in Space: Secrets of Apollo 10" won Daytime Emmys for "Outstanding Children's or Family Viewing Program" and "Outstanding Single Camera Editing" respectively. While Apple was nominated for 17 awards overall, eight were for "Ghostwriter" alone.

"Ghostwriter" ‌is a remake of the original 1990s PBS series. It follows the story of a group of kids who discover a ghost in a neighborhood bookstore, as they go on to solve fiction-related mysteries. "Peanuts in Space: Secrets of Apollo 10" celebrates the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, as it takes an affectionate, lighthearted look at NASA and Charles M. Schulz's beloved Peanuts characters.

Amazon Prime Video, HBO, and Netflix won six Emmys each, but Disney won the most of any network with a total of nine. Apple's first Emmy was awarded in the Primetime category for "Carpool Karaoke" in 2018.

The fact that carpool karaoke won a primetime Emmy has pretty much made me lose faith in what they award at all, and that has NOTHING to do with it being an Apple program BTW, and more with what low standards there are for Emmy nominations now. it's not just the Emmy's I have lost faith in when it comes to media awards either...

Peanuts In Space is a cute kid's show. My second grader loves Peanuts and adores it. The show is firmly written for younger audience in mind, however (more so than early cartoon TV specials and The Peanuts Movie). I hope the second season would mature a bit to expand the age range.

Or maybe the issue is your subjective beliefs are not shared by most other people.

Where did I say I have an issue with it, or my subjective beliefs should be shared by everyone? In my post I only use "me or I" A lot of people, including family and friends don't agree with some of my beliefs but I don't think anything less or different about them since after all, they are just MY personal beliefs.

I would tend to maybe agree with your response until you added in "MOST people" and made me realize you are probably one of the people who go with "If I like it, everyone else should and those who don't are just wrong, stupid or ignorant.

Or maybe the he’s right.
apparently we aren't "most other people".

My younger teenage son thoroughly enjoyed Ghostwriter, what I saw of it suggested it was a well written and produced show.

Just finished watching Defending Jacob. Engaging, binge worthy and thought provoking, not to mention beautifully shot (many of the split focus/pulled focus shots were mightily impressive on my Sony 4K in Dolby Vision). Hoping this gets some recognition along with The Morning Show.

I was a huge fan of ghostwriter as a kid.
It was syndicated for a short period of time along with a bunch of other awesome 90s shows (i.e. salute your shorts, what would you do, Guts, etc.) on a channel called Nick GaS - but sadly that is no more =(

The first of many. I hope The Morning Show takes some primetime Emmys.

Ghostwriter was an INCREDIBLE show for kids. I grew up watching the original on PBS and thought it was a solid modern take. My family enjoyed it.

Me too! I had all but forgotten about the show and when this one popped up I started watching to see “why does that sound familiar?” It’s so nice to see childhood classics get redone/revamped with good execution!

Apple should buy Many Saints of Newark by David Chase and release it this year instead of March 2021

OMG I can still remember the intro song to Salute Your Shorts. "camp Anawana, we hold you in our hearts, and when i think about you, it makes me want to fart!" That Hey Dude, Secret world of Alex Mac and the show where the contestants ran through the aztec temple! That along with the original Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was my summer and sick day routines back in the day! Aww and the green slime! It's weird that I was envious of the people back then getting slimed lol!

watching kids screw up assembling the silver monkey shrine on legends of the hidden temple would always drive me crazy as a kid - till this day my brother and I swear we could have destroyed that course if we were ever given the chance.

Oh and Stick stickly!! do you remember him. Ah the greatness of 90"s nostalgia. I would be set up in life if the revived Teddy Ruxbin and My Pet Monster!

I can’t even tell you my wife’s phone number but I can sing a decades old address as though I write letters to it everyday lol

Zeke the plumber. 10/10.

SAS was my favorite childhood show. I enjoyed Shelby Woo as well (RIP Pat Morita).

What is SAS? Shelby Woo I don't remember at all either. What channel were they on? This reminded me that I still have every TMNT, Power Ranger, and Jurassic Park toys still with boxes at my mom's house. Heck I have a signed by the illustrator Infinity Gauntlet Comic Book in perfect condition as well as a silver surfer vs Thanos comic signed by stan lee. I have pretty much every TMNT comic from 1980-1990, every Usagi Yojimbo up until like number 30 something, and I unopened plastic wrapped death of Superman Comic. Need to check out how much those are worth.
