Apple TV won't shuffle homemade music videos?

I've got a number of homemade videos (things downloaded from YouTube, etc.) I've set as music videos. Apple TV sees them just fine, and will play them just fine, but it WON'T shuffle them. It only seems to shuffle videos purchased from iTunes.

Has anybody run into this before?
