Hi all,

I'm looking at picking up an iPhone 11 over the next month or two and pay for it using the Apple iPhone Payment option to spread the cost.

I was wondering if it would be worth waiting until Black Friday / Cyber Monday in order to get a deal or if Apple usually offers discounts / promotions over the holiday period on new iPhones?

Thanks!

Yeah, no discounts, but Apple usually give an iTunes voucher or headphones.

I'm still waiting for news on their extended holiday returns period, should have started by now...

In case you fancy a new phone contract pretty much all major networks are having some kind of ‘deal’ but buying outright I’ve never known Apple to discount stuff.

Reiterating what others have said, you may get some kind of iTunes voucher though.

I thought the new phones were excluded from last years Black Friday sales with only the older phones included?

Yes you’re not likely to see any sales or discounts on the new iPhones but you may well get an iTunes voucher thrown in.

Funny how these days buying from apple direct is always the most expensive option

just one example, AirPods 2 £159 at apple. £129 on amazon.

That is insane Same with watches and iPads. Should be at least 10pc off for the iPhone 11 soon

As an Amazon Associate, MacRumors earns a commission from qualifying purchases made through links in this post.
Maybe a way to offset price increases they attribute to currency uncertainty whilst keeping premium branding etc in store.
Not sure how else they can justify this as amazon are discounting pretty much every product straight after release.

Is that tied to taking but now pay later?

*if it’s a straight forward purchase wouldn’t Apple stores have the ability to price match? I thought they did this but didn’t advertise the fact.

As far as I can tell the £120 back from very is just that you don't have to pay the interest on the buy now pay later

Reading it, I think it gets credited when you complete the order and add the code as its interest free for the 6 month period anyway as standard.

The money back is just credit though right? Good if you use Very for a bunch of stuff, but not so much if its the only purchase from them that you want to make?

No the cashback is taken off your balance, ie ive bought the 11 pro 64gb , when the £200 is applied to my 6mnth by now pay later account I will owe £849

So if I was to use a 0% for 24 months credit card, I could pay for it with that and then instantly clear the Very balance? So I would still have 0% interest monthly payments on the card and get £130 off the cost of the phone?

Deals on Apple phones are far and between.

Usually deals come from carriers themsevies with a two-year contract and phone activation.

It’s also one of the multiple reasons Apple iPhones hold their value really well Years later.

Yes, as long as you can pay using a credit card and they don’t require a debit card (just check but I doubt they care), that would be the best way to do it and get money off the device.
