Apple uk updated to show you CAN get it from retail stores

Apple uk has done something very unsuprising and updated the website to show Apple retail stores as one of the ways you can get an iPhone 3G.

I wanted to order online!!!!

Yep - that wasn't there 5 minutes ago, but is now. I'm resigned to waiting for a white one from an Apple Store. At least they're doing the "check availability from 9pm the day before" thing.

Makes me wonder if they had some agreement with O2 and CPW that Apple wouldn't pre-advertise, give them a head start so to speak? Normally, even Apple isn't this reticent!
