Apple Universal Dock Remote work with MBP?

This question could go under either the IPT forum or right here, and I decieded to ask it here. If I buy the Universal Dock which comes with a remote (which appears to be the same one you can buy for the Macs), will it work with the MBP? That way I'll get a dock and won't have to spend $20 for the remote!
 
Someone on here must have a Macbook Pro and the Universal Dock...! :confused:
