Looks like we are one step closer to getting the new i5/i7 Macs. I noticed this on the new 27 inch imacs. Looks like shipping time is 2 weeks!

Get amazing performance from the quad-core Intel Core i5 or i7 "Nehalem" processor, which features four processor cores on a single chip. Choose the speed and processor you want.

That has been there since October 2009.

What are you smoking? Or have you forgotten the link?

The OP specifically made an account for this post, so there is no kidding involved I guess.

We know, those quad.core iMacs have been introduced in October 2009, and were first delivered in late November/beginning of December.

As you might see from the many threads in the iMac forum, there is quite some talk about this, and if you use a www search engine you can find plenty of reviews of those iMac, made in December.

All Apple did today was releasing Aperture 3 and removing the "New" label from the iMacs in the Apple Online Store.

So this is not anything new?? I have never seen it before! My thoughts are that if it says 2 weeks to ship then maybe all Macs will have the new processors in 2 weeks.

As I said before, twice, those Macs are not new.

The shipping time has something to do with availability (they sell quite good) and current problems with the 27" iMac, like yellow screen tint or flickering. Have a look at the iMac sub-forum for plenty of threads.
