I enrolled in the upgrade program last year on launch day. Similar to last night, i could not get a reservation time last year and just went to the store and stood in line.
The upgrade really only makes sense if you can upgrade as early as possible (12 payments). The longer they make us wait the more we pay off our current phones and still have to give them back. At some point it will make more sense to pay it off and sell it on my own.
So do we think Apple short stocked the upgrade program so that they are not having to lose as much on the trade in through their agreement with Citizens Bank?
For the record I was trying to get a Plus in either of the blacks with 128 or 256 GB. Neither of the two stores in my town had availability at 2:03 CST when the store opened.
