iPhone 16 Pro Apple upgrade program and using pre paid provider. US Mobile

Does anyone know if I get the Verizon version of the 16 pro on Apple upgrade program (Apple checkout process does not require me to input any Verizon info) …. Will I be able to bypass the initial phone setup asking for Verizon info, and then set it up with my US Mobile eSIM?

In addition to in-store pickup to get one today/this weekend. NYC, and probably other areas, offer local courier delivery for only $9 from a nearby store which is a good way to avoid store chaos and still have it sooner than the longer delivery windows.

for anyone who had the same question... I got the Verizon version of the iPhone 16 Pro on the apple upgrade program. I just set up the phone and added my non VERIZON carrier.. which is Dark Star on US Mobile (ATT) without any issues.

I do not do pre paid but I’m on Spectrum Mobile so this year I ordered a T Mobile phone to stay on the apple upgrade program, worked like a charm with esim
