Apple USB C to USB A adapter

Id just like to let everyone know that even though the Apple website says that the adapter only work up to 5Gbps it actually does work with gen 2 devices at the full 10gbps. I've been testing it with a 2.5 usb c gen 2 enclosure and its been working at 10gbps.

How did you test this?

I tested it using Blackmagic speed test with a OWC elite pro dual mini usb c with dual 500gb 850 EVO drives. In system profiler the drive was shown as being connected with 10 GBps using both the USB C cable and with the adapter. Drive speeds were both within 5mb/s of each other.

yes they did when they first came out because everyone was complaining about the switch to only type C ports.
