Ouch. Just what Apple does not need at this point.

Poor sales in Europe and Japan is behind the profit shortfall, and nothing is said of the U.S. domestic market.

FYI, AMD issued a sales warning as well.

I would have thought that this was old news, given the events of the last year and the impact they had on global markets it's hardly suprising.

AMD stock is down 35% in after hours trading.

Apple stock is down 15%.

Yikes, and it's only 5:45.

This could get ugly tomorrow. The stock market as a whole will not fair well at all.
