SO Ive had many cell phones over the years, but never had to return a phone because of a physical problem with the phone... When you buy a phone from a carrier (Sprint Verizon, etc...) when you complain that the screen is yellow or the phone has a buzz, WHERE do you take the phone to get it replaced? An apple store or the Carrier store?
Can you purchase apple care from a carrier?

Usually if you are within the 14 day return period you take it back to the place you bought it from. After that all service is handled by Apple. Make a Genius reservation first.

AppleCare can only be purchased from Apple. You can do it all online. I think you have 60 or 90 days to buy it.
