Apps Apple Watch 10 very slow to auto start recording my walking workout now

My watch 10 since I updated to latest software update for it and also the iPhone 16 plus update last week has behaved differently during my dog walks which were automatically recorded after asking me to record them usually after I had walked for about 10 mins
Now often do not pick up and there is no auto quenching me to press and record workout
Sometimes I get message “cannot check in needs internet access Never had seen this before update. Any ideas please ?

Always found autostart not to be dependable. I manually start them.

my auto start takes about 10-15min to prompt, however it still tracks me from when i start the walk. so weird it takes so long.

It still tracks me just that it’s slower to auto detect walking workout. Also the message about not checked in needing internet i never saw before the latest ipdate
