Hello - am I the only one who was disappointed that the Apple Watch 3 does not support 802.11ac? It seems bizarre that an industry leader like Apple is releasing products without support for 802.11ac in the year 2017. I’m a bit of a WiFi nerd, it bothers me to have anything still running 802.11n on my network. Older standards impact the performance of the WiFi network as a whole. I was sold on getting Apple Watch 3 until this.

First, Apple has always been slow in adopting new standards, including 802.11x Secondly I think because of tiny form factor, battery, antenna it would be a feature that doesn't really make sense, especially since the watch is usually pared to the phone anyways.

A bit rich considering original USB standard.

And to the O.P., no, I don't miss it - at least not yet. In my small apartment I'm still struggling with 802.11n @2.4GHz as my 802.11ac @5ghz can't get through two walls consistently. Grrrr...
