Nope, way too expensive for what it is plus I recently switched away from the iPhone so even if I did want one it wouldn't be useful.

Yep, too expensive and i may be getting away from apple entirely here soon. Also, looks like it's time for a new subforum!

Yep, seems like quite a few people think it's expensive. I wouldn't be too surprised to see a price drop after a short time to bring it to something more reasonable.

It's a watch bro,

A nice watch can easily cost a couple thousand dollars, I would think the gold model may exceed a thousand dollars

It's cool. But doesn't provide any additional functionality that the phone doesn't that I'm interested.

I'll pass to see if this wearable fad sticks around.

Guessing they were going for the Christmas window but missed it. The price doesn't scare me, the size does. Seems geared towards men who like those big ugly watches.

That watch that cost a couple thousand dollars isn't going to be obsolete after a couple years. Your grandchildren could probably still use it, an apple watch isn't going to last that long so yes 349 is expensive for a watch the only will last a couple years.

How do you know it will last a couple years? They could provide years of support for it. who knows

and it doesnt even work on its own like it doesnt even have gps built in so you have to carry around two devices, a even bigger iphone and an apple watch if you want to go for a run. redic

There is a 38mm version. The larger one was 42mm which is not terrible.

I am thinking of the 38mm version for myself. However I need to see them both in person before purchasing.

They tried to create too much functionality. A smart watch is best as an extension of your phone. No one is trying to be productive with a watch and set appointments or draw text.

When was the last time a company provided more than a few years support for a tech device? Plus it is in Apple's best interest to keep people buying new models, so I highly doubt you will be able to still be using this watch in even ten years which an expensive regular watch would last much longer than that.

Honestly... the price is near on insanity. The masses are not looking for a high-end watch. They are looking for a nice, functional, but AFFORDABLE watch.
