I am wondering how much of the new "stuff" like the ring challenges, auto exercise detection, fall detection, etc, is actually part of the new watch, and only available on the new watch, and how much is in WatchOS5. I can see the hardware stuff, ie. the ECG, that's not going to be available, but a lot of the other stuff, like the breathe face, and emergency contact stuff should be available. What "new" exercises are available? It only says Yoga and Hiking. Anyone know?

At least the fall detection will be exclusive to the S4 because of the new accelerometer. Not sure on other stuff.

not sure about the faces, maybe some of them others might work best with the larger screen, ecg, new heart monitor, taptic crown seem to be the only new things other than the new form factor with larger screen and larger case

I was kinda hoping that someone with the betas of the WatchOS5 would chime in here with what they have compared to the "new" stuff that's hyped. Maybe... :)

I believe the following are S4 exclusive...

1. All new faces shown in the keynote.
2. All new complication redesigns shown in the keynote.
3. Fall detection.
4. Low HR detection.
5. Afib auto-detection.
6. ECG.
