After the time change the apple watch 5 does not have the display always on and each time it wakes up to give the time it looks like it is rebooting.. I have tried rebooting it and am re=pairing it now. Anyone else have this happening. I was watching as the time changed and it did show 1 AM but then the problems started.

i am glad I am not the only one too. Any idea how to fix it?

Chiming in to say I have the same issue. A reboot didn’t fix it.

Also noticed my battery started dying like crazy.

I turned off always on in the settings on the watch. It seems to have stopped the rebooting but now I have an apple watch 4 again lol.

Turn off the always on in the settings on the watch. That should help the battery

If I might suggest, I think it is the time change. I live in Atlantic Canada and had this same thing happen when the time changed (went back an hour). it fixed itself when 2am rolled around.

Interesting and something to hope happens here.I am sure it is the time change as I saw it happen immediately afterward. It is almost 2 am. I am crossing my fingers it works. Thanks so much for this information!

I believe this is the answer CT. I put the watch back on always on and so far it seems to be acting normally. Hope others with this problem find this and see the "fix." Thanks again!

Yes, the same thing happened to me with the time change. I’m still within the hour of the time change, so it hasn’t fixed itself yet. I hope it does when 2 am rolls around.

The same thing happened to me after the time change. I was looking at my watch when the needle hit 2AM and the clock hand rolled back an hour. That's when the minute and hour hands started going berserk and when the issues started. Rebooting and toggling off and back on the always on display didn't do anything. I gave up and went to bed before 2AM. When I woke up, I noticed the issue had resolved itself.

I haven’t been affected so far, if you all haven’t already tried, use the Apple support app, they can run a diagnostic on your watch
