Hi all. I am testing out the new watchOS 7.4 on my Series 5 and my battery is just tanking. Used it for 4 hours and already near 80% yet haven't used the watch at all except maybe a few notifications. This was not the case before 7.4. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this/suggestions for battery life? Reset the watch with a fresh install of 7.4? I recognize it's beta software but wondering if there's any tricks up your guys sleeve from previous updates that have lowered battery life.

I updated to 7.4 because of the mask unlock feature in conjunction with the iPhone. I'm in healthcare and have found this extremely helpful.

Same since the last beta update, previous variants of 7.4 haven’t been a problem. I’m looking forward to this weeks release in the hop it fixes the drain amongst other issues related to activity

Apple Watch not recording jog in latest beta

I stopped trying watch os betas. It’s bit me a few times. Either battery life was so poor or certain features wouldn’t work. Unfortunately the only way out is a trip to the apple store and a few days without a watch. As I grow older I slightly and emphasize slightly, gain more patience. As much as the mask unlock feature interest me and I’ve come close to pulling the trigger a few times. I just can’t erase the previous experiences of going to the apple store and shipping it off and waiting for fedex. And it’s worse now you have to make a appointment just to have it looked at. But at the very least if my long story hasn’t helped, bottom line is your on a beta named so for a reason. You shouldn’t be expecting stellar battery life. Not trying to be rude just sharing my past few years experiences
