Does the Apple Watch 6 measure actual VO2 Max? (i see some people saying it just says 0% to 100%). If not, are there any apps that will measure VO2 Max with the new sensor? And how accurate is Apple their VO2 max measurment?

I am an athlete so it would be cool if the Apple Watch can monitor this accurate without going to a lab.

First, don't expect lab results with any wrist based device, it just ain't gonna happen. The VO2Max on the Apple watch I have now, (Series 6, GPS/LTE), is virtually the same as it was with the Garmin Fenix 6 Pro, if that's any help.

the watch 'estimates' VO2 max, based on a historic algorithm of averages...it's not going to give you anything like the actual results you would get from a proper VO2 Max test in a lab

Series 5 already estimates VO2max so I presume the S6 would do so as well.

Remember it's an estimate though. Not sure it can really be "measured" without going to a lab.
