I thought Apple implemented on the Apple Watch 7 an alert tone when your watch and iPhone are separated? I almost lost my iPhone, for it fell out in a parking lot and my watch never alerted me that my iPhone was missing. If this is something that Apple has in place, then why didn't it work?

How far did you go for your phone? It seems the watch only alerts you if you go some distance away from the phone. Not sure about the exact distance, but I've heard from a block to a mile.

It’s not a good implementation. I was always hoping Apple would do this but they screwed the pooch on it. Should be when Bluetooth connection is lost but like Night Spring mentioned, it’s pretty much whenever it feels like notifying you.

“Phone Buddy” is a great third party app for this same feature and is leaps and bounds ahead and better than Apple’s version. Never missed a beat for me. As soon as Bluetooth connection is lost, your Watch starts ringing and buzzing so annoyingly (in a good way) that you have no choice but to tend to it. Find My has been nothing a soggy diarrhea sandwich with iOS 15.

I had gone for at least three miles before I knew it wasn’t with me.

Thank you so much for this information, I will try it out.
