On Friday, June 5, Apple Watch owners will be able to complete a new Apple Watch activity challenge in celebration of World Environment Day.

The challenge, which is listed in the Activity app on the iPhone, asks users to close their Stand rings.
Recognize World Environment Day this Friday. Close your Stand ring on June 5 and earn this award by getting up and moving around for at least one minute during 12 hours that day.
Completing the challenge will award users with a unique badge viewable in the Awards section of the Activity app on iPhone and Apple Watch.

Apple has shied away from offering activity challenges during the global health crisis as people have been indoors, but a stand goal challenge is simple to complete regardless of location and does not require leaving the house.

It's sad that such a thing is actually a challenge to some. On my running days I always achieve 300% of the daily goal (whatever that is, I left everything on defaults).

I wish I would get notifications about these on my watch ( and yes I do have the setting enabled)
Stand notifications are notoriously flakey. Sometimes they appear, sometimes they don’t. And they never seem to provide a haptic buzz, I only see them if i happen to glance at my wrist.

Easy for all the protesters to complete. ;)

This must be the easiest badge to get ever. Come on...

It's the hardest... If you put your watch on later in the morning, it's never getting closed that day lol

Is it just me, or has Apple been getting less creative with the Watch Activity badges?

Well "Apple has shied away from offering activity challenges during the global health crisis as people have been indoors" so it makes sense.

So, remember not to take it off tonight would partially solve that problem, right?

I had to pee three times tonight. I should have put the watch on; I'd have been a quarter of the way there. Honestly, though, this is an absurd "challenge". It may have been better just to skip it this year, or to set a challenge of people doing indoor exercises to raise their heartbeat for 30 minutes, with some suggestions of suitable activities for confined spaces, such as step aerobics.

300% of your stand goal? You stand up once an hour for 36 hours a day?!

It says they’ve done less challenges. Didn’t you guys get the May and the June challenges?
