First off, I really like my series 4 Apple Watch. The activity tracking isn’t perfect, but they’ve added a ton of functionality and useful features - but still plenty of room for improvement/enhancements.

For the hiking activity tracker, here are my top 2 requests:
1. Ability to add pack weight for a given hike to improve calorie burn accuracy.
2. Reduce the interval for HR tracking (or other approach) to help extend battery life on a longer day hike. I’ve had multiple occasions where the watch battery gave out, or went to power save mode before the hike was done.
3. Some better way to incorporate rest/recovery days into the awards tracking following a big hike (or run/bike/etc.). Sucks to break a move streak or other award challenge to accommodate a best practice recovery day...

Agree/Disagree? What other suggestions are out there?

If it checks your heart rate, you heart should go faster if you wear a pack weight. So calories accuracy should be good.
