Apple Watch and Apple Pay?

During the Apple Pay demo, it was shown how easy it will be to pay using Apple Pay and the iPhone 6. And the Apple Watch was also said to be able to perform Apple Pay payments - but there's no touchID on the watch?

According to Rene Ritchie, who's pretty reliable, you put a code in at the beginning of the day, and then it stays active until you take the watch off.

That sounds like a good solution. I'm confused about this since the presentation about Pay was so focused on security..
