As the title says, newbie needs to know if the Apple Watch and hearing aids will play nice nice with each other. The hearing aids are controlled by the iPhone via Bluetooth.

Starkey Halo 2 aids. Starkey can't tell me if the iPhone will work with the watch and aids at the same time. The aids work great with my iPhone but who can tell me if my phone can pair with the watch while paired with the aids. Surely someone in this forum has a phone paired with a watch plus other devices at the same time.

The hearing aids will need to support Multipoint BT paring. That is a question that the compony should be able to answer. Also it should be in your hearing aid's manual. Here is an explanation.

Also you seem to be asking if you can use both at the same time. BT only allows a 'slave' device (up to 7 at time) to be connected to 1 'master' at a time.

EDIT: I have had a couple of times when my B&W P7 BT headphones stayed connected to my iPhone while connecting to my :apple:TV. However this is not supposed to happen and I don't think it is in the BT spec.

I don't think this is a solution as headphones and hearing aids are different. The hearing aids don't need multipoint connections.

Simple question here, will the iPhone connect to my Halo 2 hearing aids and the Apple Watch at the same time? Will they coexist peacefully?

As an example, when I had Ford Sync my iPhone would automatically connect with the Ford sound system. When I began using hearing aids I sometimes experienced a pulsing noise in the Ford sound system so I quit using Sync. Ford Sync and hearing aids did not play well together. I should probably assume the same with AW and Hearing aids but would like some personal first hand experience from other users in this forum.

Appreciate any first hand experience with my question before I spend money on an AW.

I think Starkey did answer the question for you already. Here's the top results from a quick Google search (Starkey Halo 2 Apple Watch).

And one more link for good measure. One that will provide you with the real world experiences that you seek: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7001333?tstart=0

FWIW, I have my Apple Watch connected to my iPhone right now, and I also have a Bluetooth speaker connected to my iPhone playing music. Both are working just fine.

I have Resound hearing aids, they work fine with the Apple watch.
I am able to adjust all the functions that are available on the iPhone, on the watch--although not quite as convenient.

Thanks Klymer, instead of googling the question like I should have done I came to this forum. Looks like my question has been answered in several ways, including Starkey.

I chose not to go to Starkey for a solution as they were less than helpful with my Ford Sync issue but apparently things have improved since that time.

The nice feature is that now I can control my aids with the AW when I get it. Thanks again

Nick
