Apple Watch and Messages

How are we already on watchOS 9 and I have to manually delete my texts and iMessages from my watch after I’ve deleted them from my iPhone. It should be setup to just mirror the messages on my phone. Surly they can come up with a way to sync the devices.

Apple is pretty bad at this on all devices in the ecosystem especially with non iMessages.

I 100% agree. It's my biggest pet-peeve of the Apple Watch. All iMessages and notification actions should sync across devices.

Messages on my watch self delete after about 30 days. Sometimes it's actually a little handy to be able to pull up a text on my watch that I've deleted from my phone.
