If I get an Apple Watch and pair it with my iPhone 5c, will Apple Pay work, or does it require an Apple Watch paired with an iPhone 6/6 Plus?
Apple's web page is somewhat ambiguous on this point. It has a table where it shows Apple Pay compatible with Apple Watch, and the fine print under the Apple Watch says: (paired only with iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, or iPhone 6 plus). Sensible people would argue that this means that the answer to my question is that Apple Pay does work with Apple Watch /iPhone 5c, but Apple lawyers could argue that the fine print only means that Apple Watch can be paired to all of those iPhone modes, not that every specific feature, such as Apple Pay, will work independently of the specific pairing combination.
