Apple watch apps crashing

CNN app, zomato app and the score apps crashing on the watch but they work fine on the phone and I can receive notifications....I just can't open the actual all without the endless circle spinning then crashing

1. Have you tried restarting the watch?
2. Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the watch app?

I use the CNN app on my watch and it works fine.

Same here. Even worse is that apps like Fantastical and Dark Sky worked on watchOS 2.0 but started started crashing when I upgraded to a new iPhone 6S Plus with iOS 9. I've tried restarts, re-pairing, setup as new, 2.0.1 & 2.1 updates, and even sent it away to Apple for deeper diagnosis. Nothing has worked. The only thing left to do is setup the iPhone as new...and hope that works.
