apple watch apps not refreshing

Hello,

i noticed that some of my apple watch apps don't refresh at all, most noticeably my banking app, everytime i check it on my iPhone its the correct info, but if i check it on my apple watch, its not the same info, and it says last synchronized and the date is usually 2 or 3 days old.

is there something that i forgot to set up or do to have my apps sync?

is there a way to force close apps so that when i open them they pull the new info?
