Hello!

I have huge problem with my Apple Watches.

Over night OR when I got my iPhone 13 pro Max my battery started draining. When normal i could almost use my watch 48h before I needed to charge. Now I was down to 10-12h.

Apple replaced the unit, my new unit could last most 13-14hours.

Apple replaced unit again. Same problem. They advised me to reinstall my Phone from computer to get completely new install.

After that maby I got up to 15hours. But thats not good enough.

Now I recived my S7 and was hoping my problems would solv itself. It dont looks like it. 12hours since I put it on 11% battery left.

Iam NOT an heavy user, only use it for notifications and unlock my computer, gps and all training stuff is disabled.

One strange thing is, if i disable bluetooth/wifi and turn on flightmode the watch still thinks its connected to the phone?

I am gonna call Apple tomorrow but want to know If you have any suggestions?

Since it's been happening on multiple Watches, this is something in your software or data. It's been carrying forward from one Watch to the next. Have you erased the phone and then NOT restored from backup when you pair? Also, install only those non-Apple apps that you actually use.

Yes, phone erased and setup as new. No apps installed.

You might want to disable all, to rule out any one of the ones you have on still causing issues. Then if you don’t have the issue anymore, you could start turning them on one at a time day by day to figure out the culprit.
All disabled!

Tjena,

Have you tried turning off notifications? Those can drain the battery quite a bit.

Just wanted to chime in that I also experience severe battery drain. Has been working flawlessly since I got my S7 but started draining about 10% per hour in the last couple of days.

Update: Today the battery has drained more than 25% per hour. Completely unusable right now :(

I reset the watch and set it up as a new. This seems to have solved the issue for me at least.

I’ll have to keep an eye. I rebooted both my 13 Pro max and my apple watch and charged the watch full and after 1 hour it went down to 99%. That is what I would expect. Yesterday it was like literally 15 minute after I took it off the charger it went down. Much improvement so far.

I have had this same issue in the past. The only thing I can think of, is whenever I visit MacRumors on the iPhone, it messes with the Apple Watch, and drains the battery completely. Be sure to clear caches--this seemed to help. As folks have stated, a reboot also would not hurt.
