Apple Watch Bluetooth Limitation

Am I missing something? If you’re playing music from your phone to your Car’s Bluetooth system, and the controls pop up on the watch, you can only pause/play and skip tracks forward and reverse?

Tried to pull up a playlist from the watch and it’s asking me to connect to my AirPods. This normal?

That I definitely can’t do. I tried with an Audi, Land Rover and multiple Fords.

I meant when you’re connected from phone to car and you get music controls on the watch. For some reason it wouldn’t let me select play from iPhone before. Anyways, it seems to be working now. I can scroll through songs, artists and albums but when I hit playlists, it starts the songs from the beginning of my entire library. A restart is probably in order lol
