Apple Watch cellular question

i have just got my AW4 and thinking about switching carrier to enable cellular on it. I am wondering tho, do you leave cellular turned on constantly on the watch and does it only use it if the phone is not connected to it or WiFi? How does it affect battery if I go out without my phone?

Is there anything to be aware of or consider before switching? Do you use it?

I leave my cellular turned on all the time on the watch. It only uses cellular when it realizes its out of range of your phone/WiFi and that’s done automatically. Talking on the watch will drain your battery a bit but it’s not too terrible as you are having very short convos using your watch. AW series 4 rocks, glad I switched from the series 3.
