This Watch durability seems great! Ive only had it one month though I’ve dropped it on the wooden floor floor face down twice , nothing. Heard the cat playing with his toy. It wasn’t his toy! Found he was batting my watch around on the wooden floor! Not a scratch on body or face! Aluminum body too!

I believe that the screen is made of sapphire, as is the bottom sensor cover. So one would expect nothing less. Drop it on concrete next.

I jest, don’t.

Consider yourself lucky thus far. And I would watch the cat and not let him drop the watch into his water dish, my cats throw their toys in there 🙀😼

Are there other experiences concerning glass durability? Apple touted the better durability which seems to be due to thicker glass (the glass was thinned our in the former series to make room for inserting the display; now it is just put on top. Or has anybody managed to destroy the glass on Series 7 already?

The back is in sapphire for all Apple watches, but the screen is in Ion-X glass for aluminium AW. So the front is in sapphire only for Watches in stainless steel/titanium/Hermès/ceramic
But both the ion-X and sapphire are thicker. So both are more crack resistant.

I wonder how the owner of this Series 7 managed to do this damage?
