Today I decided to contact Apple to do the $79 battery replacement for my Series 5 Edition Titanium 44mm. I was reviewing the website and noticed this under the fee table:

“We’ll add a $ 6.95 shipping fee for out-of-warranty service if we need to ship your Apple Watch. We’ll cover the shipping costs for your Apple Watch Edition.”

Apple told me two different things:
1. The 6.95 fee is because I’m out of warranty (doesn’t address the second sentence).
2. My watch is not Edition. Only the gold watches are Edition (not true).

Clearly Edition on apples own site: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204507

It took a few calls, but Apple finally agreed to cover the $6.95. I’m curious how many millions of people might be due a refund so I’m sharing here. Not a good look for my favorite $1 trillion company!

I think you just busted Apple’s scheme wide-open. How do you think they got that $1 trillion. They got 143 million people to send in that $6.95. Tim Cook is not going to be happy about this post ?
