I am an Apple Watch ( Series 6 ) owner and I had noticed even from my earliest usage that Apple Exercise App is misinterpreting body movements that are similar to an exercise it has programmed into it. By far it isn’t a pressing issue, but something that Apple software developers certainly hadn’t considered in their studies of body motion. The elliptical exercise is alerting me that I am engaged in an unrecorded session,...except that I am not engaged in that activity. I am actually sweeping my garage and driveway with a standard broom that uses a forward raise back motion. 🤣 They may want to consider adding yard maintenance chores to the list of activities it records. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The elliptical activates for my mom when she’s doing this. I don’t think sweeping has activated it for her though.
