Does anyone have information on what materials are used for the front and back on these new watches? Apple seems to have removed that data from their web site.

Are the backs all "ceramic" as was the case for the series 5?

Are they still using the super durable scratchable ion x glass?

I tried to dig that out of the watch compare site, but it's not listed.

Same here, I hate the super scratchable ion-x

Especially if they're marketing this to people to get the new fitness service - I can speak from experience of how easy it is to scratch/crack a non-sapphire crystal on just about anything you'd find in a gym.

If you scroll all the way down to 'Features' and twirl it open it lists them:

  • Ceramic and sapphire crystal back
    GPS + Cellular
    GPS

  • Ceramic and sapphire crystal back
    GPS + Cellular
    GPS

  • Composite back
    GPS

Thanks for that - I would not get a GPS watch if only to avoid the 'composite' back. Thankfully, that's relegated to Series 3 watches.

The only conclusion I can draw is that no models of Watch Series 6 have sapphire lenses now. (Unless Apple has just forgotten that detail.)

I'm on chat with Apple right now with the same question...I want to get a S6 Ti but would like to have sapphire display (like my S5 Ti).
