Hello guys,

last month i got my new AW S6. Since the gyms are closed in my Country right now, i decided to do some running Workouts. I had a AW Series 4 before. I had no Problems with the heart rate messurement. But now with the apple watch series 6 the heart rate seems to not be messured correctly. Look at the Screenshots i share with you. Anyone has the same Problem? How Do i solve this issue

Is your watch band snug on your wrist while you run?

Does this happen with every run? If so, have you tried unpairing the watch, reset all settings, and then setting up as new?
Hello, yes i have the same Sport Band i used on the apple watch series 4. And i upaired the watch.

I have read a couple other posts on the forum with people noting the same observation. I don’t believe a solution was found, that I recall. I could be wrong. I would report your concern to Apple and maybe they could fix the discrepancy with a future software update. Seems to be a very random, obscure bug.

heart rate is measured with light, if the sensors are dirty it can affect the outcome.

it could also be dirt+sweat affecting the sensor

have you given the watch a good clean lately?

Yup it’s like that for both my previous S3 and my S5. I notice it has trouble detecting large changes in heart rate particularly for the first 5-10 minutes of a workout as you go from 120-150. I consistently have large empty blocks in my heart rate measurements. The Apple Watch is fine for casual workouts or walks but at least for me if I want to measure my heart rate in a workout I put on a cheap Bluetooth heart rate tracker band. Maybe it’s the fact that these cheap trackers monitor constantly or they use ANT+ as the protocol but they have no problem measuring heart rate

Yes, the Sensors are always clean. Someone Else has this Kind of Problem?
