Is there anyway to make the Apple Watch mirror my iPhone when switching to silent mode? I regularly attend meetings and must switch my phone to silent. Now that I have an Apple Watch, I must also silence it during meetings and it's kind of pain to have to silence each device individually.

no...

but do you find the sound from your watch all that useful anyway? mine has been permanently on silent since i got it, and i rely on the subtle haptic feedback (actually, the not-so-subtle strongest setting) for my notifications.

Instead of flipping the switch to silent, you could use Do Not Disturb mode.... Its simple to activate from Control Centre, and although you won't get any vibrations at all from the phone, Do Not Disturb is mirrored on the watch in the way that you would want it to.
