Since upgrading to a 12 Pro. It deleted all my songs / albums that were copied over to my Apple Watch. i'm just checking the free space on my watch and it say i only have 15 songs on there. The freebie U2 album

Which is a HUGE pain as it take forever to copy over music from the phone over to the watch. Likes hours and hours of baby sitting, as you can only do one album at a time. ugh

Come on Apple, so you telling me, every time i upgrade a watch or phone, which is maybe a couple of times per yr, i'm going to have to go through all this painfully slow copy over?

I like to leave my iPhone at home when i do my morning workouts. So had my Apple Watch loaded with about 20gb of music.

Also if i look on the Apple Watch at my list of albums its showing what was on there, just not playing them. I have to do every album individually.. its a nightmare. remember where i was on the list, as i add each one, one by one.

Put it all in a playlist and then sync just the playlist. That may work for you. That way you can just put it on the charger overnight and let it be.

I've tried getting more that 2gb to sync on my series 5 and it always says that I can't add anymore, no space available.

How do you get 20gb of music!

i have no idea. i just kept adding album after album, til i got a large percentage of my music on the watch. I'm guessing 20gb cos when i was all said and done it said i had about 6gb available of the 26.3gb.. i don't use my watch for apps at all. Only music. Listened to it every morning.

That's a good idea. I'll try that. Especially if this is going to become a regular thing a couple of times a yr. I actually thought about getting a 6, and the one thing that stopped me, was the hassle of getting all my music on the watch.

well it ran out of space and i still have loads of available storage. so i have no idea how i was able to get all my music on there before. i think there may of been a bug before iOS 7 that allowed it... Also those old albums are still showing on my watch. Pages and pages of albums, none of which i can play. A quick google search does show a lot of people that seem upset that they've now been restricted to only a small amount of storage for music.. Mostly from Oct2020. So its probably something that was recently applied. Perhaps they did have the limitation in previous versions, lifted it, and re-instated it. Cos i know for sure i have a heavy rotation on my watch which i really made use of. Really sucks, cos now i'm going to have to bring my clunky phone with me on workouts in the morning. Not happy with the situation. Its a was a big bonus to not bring my phone with me in the morning workout.

Nice i'll try that. i have a few apps but no way they take up more than 1gb of space.
