Apple Watch
turned off raise to wake.
turned on always-on-display.

This setup has helped me improve the battery life.
Personally to me, the best improvement is that I no longer have to face the irritating screen light up or change of display when I was flipping my arm to see the time.

Whenever I need to use the apps, I just double tap the screen.

Yesterday I decided to enable the cellular. I wiped my watch and set as new and enabled celluar.
Two days ago I was at 35% from 5am to 930pm (restored from a back up) Mickey face
Today, I went from 9 am to 330 pm and receive the 10% warning. (set up as new) default face for edition.

I am going to try your suggestion and see how it goes.

I do not believe I was on cellular at all.
