As the title says my S4 Apple watch has stopped unlocking my touchbar MBP for some reason. I've tried going to system preferences on the Mac, unchecking unlock with apple watch, restarting the MBP and then rechecking the unlock with apple watch and this has not helped. I've tried resetting my apply watch and this hasn't worked, and other ideas please?

What's weird is my touch ID also stopped working and I had to setup my fingerprint again.

I'm running OS Mojave and all software is up to date, the apple watch is also on the latest software. I haven't installed anything new onto the computer other than a couple of albums downloaded from iTunes.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've had watch-unlock poop out a few times over the years, but i was always able to correct it by doing what you've tried - disable/re-enable.
It's tedious, but you could try setting up a new user on your MBP, log in with that, and see if you can get it to work in the new account. This can help isolate the issue at least.

Thanks, I can give this a try. I might a full factory reset of my watch and setting it up again first though.

I've resolved it, I unchecked the setting as above and shut down the Mac. This time I soft reset my phone instead of the watch, turned everything back on and rechecked the setting on the Mac and now it's working. Very odd.
