Apple Watch not signed into App Store

I have an Apple Watch Series 5 on 10.6.1 paired to an iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18.1. On the watch the App Store says not signed in. When I sign in using the watch app the the iPhone it still won’t sign in.

And ideas?

I think you have the same problem I had about 6 months ago. Is it that when you try to download an app on the watch it has you enter your apple id password, the spins, but never downloads? If so, sign out of app store on your iPhone and give it a second, do a restart on both devices, then sign back in on the phone. Then go to the app store on the watch and sign in when you try to download the app. That should resolve it. If that's not your problem, then could you expand in detail please?
