Apple Watch is now available at select Best Buy stores in Canada and through the electronics retailer's online store in the country, less than two weeks after Best Buy began selling the Apple Watch in the United States. Best Buy Canada offers 16 Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch models alongside select Apple Watch accessories in stores and online.

Australian department store Harvey Norman also announced that it is selling the Apple Watch at its Auburn, New South Wales location starting August 15. The retailer will have aluminum Apple Watch Sport and stainless steel Apple Watch models available for purchase and try-on appointments.

Harvey Norman Auburn is located at 250 Parramatta Road and is open from 9 AM to 5:30 PM local time, with extended hours of 9 AM to 9 PM local time on Thursdays. The retail chain did not specify if the Apple Watch will be available at other Harvey Norman locations in Australia or other countries in the future.

(Thanks, Mitty!)

Pitty Harvey Norman is a rip off...

Really surprised they aren't selling them at Myer or David Jones first, though it probably won't take long. Hardly Normal isn't really where I'd see the fashion conscious shopping ;)

In Sydney the Myer store in city and I think the David Jones, have Apple store-within-a-store areas, do these have the Apple Watch?
Both the Myer and David Jones store are a short walk from the Apple George St Store, maybe Apple is wanting it to be sold at Harvey Norman Auburn as Auburn is an area of Sydney that Apple don't have their own Apple Store?

I don't know much about the Australian stores, but this looks like a Best Buy equivalent (my apologies if I am way off). I think that Apple needs to sell these through less technology focused outlets and think about selling through more fashion oriented outlets. After all this is supposed to be as much a fashion statement as it is a piece of technology, or so I though.

I lived in Australia for a few years. Harvey Norman is a bit like a Best Buy coupled with a Slumberland or other furniture store. It reminded me of AmericanTV a chain that was based in Madison, WI that has gone out of business here in the States.

The department stores mentioned would be better fashion choices, and it sounds like the watch may already be available in some of those stores. This seems to be just one Harvey Norman store, so maybe it's a test to see how it does.

I wish Harvey Norman had them available at the same time as Apple Stores did then it would have saved me a trip to Brisbane. Hopefully Harvey Norman sells them for the same price and stocks the intermediate range of Apple Watches. I do like the Apple Store shopping experience as it akin to Christmas day was for me as a child when it comes to emotions - everywhere I turn there is a something I desire and want to explore.

If what I remembered was correct, auburn is an area with lots of people originally from Middle East. I, may guess this is a not-so-reasonable cause of Apple trying to do this.

By the way, no matter which third party stores Apple Watch will roll out, I still prefer picking up a local Apple Store to grab new Apple device and/or accessories.

I have seen some forum posts showing their "not able to activate again" iPhone and iPad purchased from third party retail store.

Apologies for the off-topic, but this is what I and my brother feel whenever we go to the Chadstone Apple store - except it always takes us back to the old Maxwells computer store in Abbotsford and the Brighton computer shop, and especially the Local Computer Shop at Glenhuntly, where Amigas used to be sold.

Bad temptations, walking into Apple stores!
